Amanda Burden: How public spaces make cities work

So I was watching this video the other day.. It was Amanda Burden talking about How public spaces make cities work. This is my reflection, and what I learned from the Video.

Public places are places where people should be welcome and not feel like trespassers.
Amanda talks about this in a way that it gets across the viewers mind, that the way we currently design public places, is a waste. with the empty space and no trees or customizable features such as moving chairs around, no people are going to want to be around that area, because it feels so desolate. So to improve, Amanda explains that we should add more "life" to the area and really pay attention to the little details. like how high the bench is, or how low it might be. And she is thinking about the people in every situation of the matter, in order to make a better city.
